Marcus Garrett


Marcus holds experience and expertise in designing, delivering and administering professional learning materials and programs for RTOs and other learning organisations, researching and writing online professional development articles and support materials and using training needs analyses and customised learning design to help improve service delivery. His original professional background was in secondary and primary school teaching.

Currently, Marcus is directing IEL Australia and designing and developing e-learning, training and assessment programs for Registered Training Organisations and other corporate clients. His recent experience includes as an Outreach Officer across several states in a broad scale teacher professional learning project for the Australian Mathematical Sciences Institute, a national tertiary-sector mathematics and science discipline association.

Marcus holds a Bachelor of Economics and Diploma of Education (Macquarie University, NSW) with a specialisation in labour market economics, and a Graduate Certificate in Human Resource Management (Western Sydney Institute of TAFE). His professional background has included secondary and primary school teaching, school and system curriculum leadership and development, education and training policy advice, and development and delivery of in-service professional learning.
